What are people’s thoughts on artificial turf? My friends got this for their permanently shady, fairly small garden and they say it’s the best thing they’ve ever bought for their house and means that their little one can play outside all year round. Symptoms: Leaves seem curled, burnt, crispy and/or brittle. Leaves are yellow or brown in color. Soil in garden bed looks cracked Although many people enjoy seeing birds at feeders or deer in their yard, some wildlife can cause problems. Wildlife can upset homeowners if they stray into gardens or landscaped areas and cause damage. Wild animals can dig in gardens or under structures, damaging plants and property. Some animals may only cause problems during breeding season or when they raise young. Animals are drawn to gardens and yards because they provide food, water, or shelter. Wildlife can be very persistent, even if harassed. Changes to your yard or garden may be necessary to make your property less attractive to them. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/clematis/clematis-with-yellow-leaves.htm What is the problem with your garden? As you can see from the attached photos, we require some privacy by the low fence, but would like to keep the garden bed as you approach from the street side (seen on the right in the photograph). IDC’s ‘Three Platforms’ definition30 (first: mainframe, second: client/server, third: mobile/social) gives us some insight into just how important any ethical obligations in the walled-garden ecosystems will be over time – each platform is typified by orders of magnitude more applications that might be used by consumers, thus increasing the number of potential vectors from which users might be adversely impacted. As such, it will likely require ongoing vigilance from users and independent security/data protection groups, as well as the likes of Apple and Google in order to limit user exposure to fraud, and this is an area that will undoubtedly receive increasing attention as smartphones and other highly portable computing devices grow in use, particularly where such use supplants older generation services. This is not an expensive garden to create, but you can cut down on planting by making the central grassed area larger, or by stretching it into an oval to fill more of the borders. In the first test the best option is to choose the bucket that allows to water the segment of length 3. We can’t choose the bucket that allows to water the segment of length 5 because then we can’t water the whole garden. I seem to have found a solution to deer. Just a bb or pellet gun. Mine do not come back. I hate stinging them, as I am the animal rescue type. But my whole lawn is a garden, and nothing was working. Did this as a child for my dad. A few years back, my own son (without my knowing) did that for me. Having a variety of herbs growing in the garden means you can easily pick and add them straight into food that is being prepared. I have just had the time to sit down and start to catch up on all the info in your tool boxes ( we have just had our first snow/blizzard here in Tea, SD, so officially done with the garden.) I can now sit and rest a while :). I was just reading about your tomato catastrophe, so sorry. It is so hard to watch your hard work curl up and die and then not know why. I was wondering if you have ever used worm castings (Poo). My husband and I started using it about 3 years ago. Our gardens are the best they have ever been. Its 100%pure, OMRI certified. You can’t burn your vegetation, its safe around children and animals, heck you could eat it if you wanted to-my husband tried- he’s weird 🙂 It is an excellent soil builder also. I’m going to do something here, hope its OK. This is our side business now. We took a full growing season to test it out for ourselves before we made up our minds to sell it as whole sale distributors. Anyway this may be something you may want to check out. We use it with our composted leaves and grass clippings. I can not remember the last time we even entertained the idea of using any kind of harmful chemical on anything in & around our yard and gardens. We have read so much about this and it really hits home, knowing what goes into your body is just 1/2 the fight and you have to stay ever so vigilant. Well I hope that I was somewhat helpful for you. If you would like any information about Worm poop, I will send you a website so you can check it out for yourself. Wishing you & yours Good Luck in the next growing season. He is paid a more or less fixed sum each day, and is no longer signing on. So how can you keep rodents out the garden, and from potentially entering your home?  There will, however, be others that do not share the same enthusiasm when it comes to gardening, and will simply give their gardens a ‘once over’ with the lawn mower every few weeks. Then there will be the Problem Neighbours who see their gardens as an excuse to use it as a makeshift area in which to store excess rubbish. Thank you for sharing this. It certainly would have been easier to just blog the good events. We have noticed residual effects from straw we have got from non-organic neighbors (our organic friends won’t sell straw as it is returned to the soil). I would try a trial with some plants in the garden next year to see if the results are the same (even if you don’t intend to harvest and use). The reason I say this is that we have had a weird gardening season here as well with low results on a number of vegetable crops (and we are not the only ones to see the same thing). Not the same problems as you describe but far from typical. Hopefully this is an aberration for you and not a contamination issue. I enjoy you site and wish you the best.
